  • Outside of BPO, what is your occupation?

    I am a soundtrack composer specialising in music for films, games and animation. 

  • How long have you been a member of BPO?

    Since 2021

  • What inspired you to take up your instrument?

    I started out on the saxophone aged 7 and decided at aged 11 that it just wasn't loud enough, so percussion it was!

  • How did you come to join the orchestra?

    I moved back to Birmingham in 2021 having lived in Bristol for 10 years and spotted BPO's request for percussionists online. The timing was perfect!

  • Most treasured occasion with the BPO?

    The Chipping Campden concert of music from one of my favourite films, 2001: A Space Odyssey, is definitely a special memory. It was a really fun day together and great gig.

  • Any moments you would rather forget?

    Not so far...


  • Favourite composer? Least favourite composer?

    I've always been a lover of Shostakovich and a hater of Elgar, but tastes change so ask me again in 10 years!

  • Work(s) you would like to play before you die?

    Some rollicking film music would be good fun, perhaps by James Horner.
