    Music teacher and examiner.


  • How long have you been a member of BPO?

    Since 1999

  • What inspired you to take up your instrument?

    I was inspired by hearing James Galway on the radio and liked the sound of the instrument.


  • How did you come to join the orchestra?

    I was put in contact with the principal flute at the time and started to play as an extra, mainly on piccolo.


  • Most treasured occasion with the BPO?

    I have enjoyed playing in many wonderful concert venues including Birmingham Town Hall and Symphony Hall.


  • Favourite composer? Least favourite composer?

    I like many different composers such as Beethoven, Dvorak, Chopin and Schubert.


  • Work(s) you would like to play before you die?

    I think it would be fun to play the music of Arturo Marquez such as Danzon No. 2 and Conga Del Fuego Nuevo.
