  • How long have you been a member of BPO?

  • What inspired you to take up your instrument?

    My primary school had a Suzuki violin teacher and (as I had already started the piano) I was persuaded to join the class.  I didn't stick with Suzuki but I did carry on with the violin. 

  • How did you come to join the orchestra?

    I had known about BPO for years, but had always resisted joining because of the Sunday morning rehearsals.  However, coming out of lockdown I realised that the thing I wanted to do more of was to play the violin, so I decided to give it a go.  Definitely the right decision! 

  • Most treasured occasion with the BPO?

    The recent Showtime concerts were a delight from start to finish.

  • Any moments you would rather forget?

    Richard Strauss, Also Sprach Zarathustra.  Unplayable.

    Beethoven
